The tip on mine was much more snub nosed than pictured. Buyers should note that the angle of edge bevel is very acute, which allows the knife to cut quite ferociously. However, it absolutely CANNOT be used as a cleaver and will chip immediately - this is for soft items only. I ended up chipping my blade badly while trying to carve a turkey with it. The damage was easily ground out on a stone, which makes me suspect that the steel is softer than advertised.

This knife has been great so far. I’ve had it for about 2 years. This is an overall versatile knife to use when cutting/chopping veggies & meats of all sorts. It has a bold yet simple presentation, but feels like quality. The wooden handle feels great and offers comfort when in use. The full tang blade gives good balance to the overall knife. You won’t regret this purchase
