I didn't weigh it, but it might be as heavy or heavier than my tv. Once I figured out where I wanted the wall mounts to be on the wall I removed them from the rest of the mount. This allowed me to install with no problems by myself. It was much easier to deal with one small wall plate at a time then to try and get the whole assembly up at once. After I had both plates mounted I used the bolts to hold the entire mount in place while reattaching them permanently. Easily done by one person. No stress, no fuss and no issues. As long as you properly mount the plates to the wall this thing will never come down. I did not use the plastic thumb screws to adjust the angle. Looking at it closer I realized there are small bolts going through that section that I tightened instead. My angle will not move by itself.The instructions leave a little to be desired so you need to have a little ingenuity. It's really simple once you look at it. Paying over $100 for a wall mount is insane. Stay away from your brick and mortar stores and just get this one. You will not be disappointed.Hopefully this helps some people that are on the fence based on the installation reviews. Don't let it scare you away. Once mounted you'll be glad you got it. Also don't let the price fool you. You won't find something this solid for less or equal I think.One other thing: buy yourself a small level. Don't rely on the built in one. Your better off having a real level that you can trust to make sure the wall plates are installed plum. If you do this you will be guaranteed to have it mounted straight. Once it is plum then hang the tv on it. Then double check the tv. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great value and very sturdy! *by K***J on September 6, 2018* The quality of his product is top notch. I installed it by myself, but I’m pretty handy. It would have been easier with a partner though.I put one lag bolt through a bracket to start. Then while holding the side not secured, used a level on that bracket, marked the next spot on that same bracket, pre-drilled a small hole in the stud, then put the 2nd lag in.Once one side was up, the rest was extremely easy.I have a 60” Samsung and I was surprised how much room there still was for adjustments.Great value for the money.Tools needed:Tape measureSocket Wrench for lag boltsDrill - for predrilling holes so the lag bolts go in properlySmall levelStud finderPencilPhillips Screwdriver - for putting bracket arms onto your tvLadder***Don’t use the anchors if going into drywall. The instructions tell you to use the anchors. That is for concrete walls only.*** ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Worked fantastic for corner-mounting my TV *by D***. on July 31, 2017* Worked fantastic for corner-mounting my TV. The directions suggest using dry-wall anchors to mount it; but this seems like an obviously terrible idea. The mount itself is probably nearly 50 lbs; nevermind a decent sized TV. I mounted it right into studs - however, the steel plates that you use to screw into the studs are not wide enough to actually reach a second stud. I had to mount this using 2 screws into a stud on each plate; and a third screw using the included dry-wall anchor to try to prevent the plate from pivoting. With all this completed; it seems very secure and not likely to move. The mount also articulates side-to-side very easily; however the tilt motion uses some oddly placed thumbscrews behind the TV mount that are a bit tricky to handle. I would assume once its mounted it probably won't be moved much so maybe that's not an issue.One problem I had - which is related to my TV; is that the power receptacle on the back of my Samsung 50" was directly behind the steel frame.
