Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart may have only taken me about 28 hours to get a platinum on, but every single moment was amazing. I've been a fan of the series ever since the first one on PS2 back in 2002, and it's nice to know that they are still managing to keep the series fun all this time. The weapons are a fun mixture of destructive and zany as usual, and the story is quite good for the series as well. The graphics though, just WOW. Usually I'm not all that impressed by graphics anymore, but holy moly it's like I'm playing a high budget Pixar film! The characters all look just fantastic, with Ratchet and Rivet's fur blowing in the wind, holding droplets of moisture from the rain, and other hard to notice but really nice details. I would whole-heartedly recommend this game to anyone who has even the slightest interest in the franchise and recommend it even harder to anyone who likes or loves the series. I played through the whole thing twice, as you need to finish it once to unlock challenge mode. Just really fun and entertaining the whole way through, and if you have little siblings or younger audience members watching you play through... well my niece and nephew were enthralled just watching the whole thing. Some of the set pieces in the game are REALLY good and well put together. Just a really really good game over all, and I will definitely be picking up any sequel that may come out for it in the future.
