You'd need hands and arms the size of a 5 year old child to accomplish the task. There is just not enough room to work. But I found an easy solution ... long, needle nose pliers. Here's how. Place the first spring clip into the intended slot in the motor housing by hand. That is easy to do because you have enough room to work. It is the second spring clip that is difficult to place. Use your needle nose pliers to insert the second spring clip into the slot in the motor housing .... one leg at a time. One leg at a time is the secret. Presto! the job is done. The new cover sleek and low profile. It looks much better than the old cover. Review: The product is big but the measurements were in the description, so I was aware. The instructions, believe it or not, are important here. If you are like me and think you've got it, please save yourself and read them. I was replacing an old Broan fan cover. The kind that gets full of lint and dust. That one was always easy to replace, but this one had my swearing. It could be that our fan box is set up too high, so keep that in mind. When I finally got it up and declared it is never coming back down, I stepped back and admired the sleek design.
