I have no idea if this would last outdoors in the elements. **Q: Is the mouth deep enough to put a very small flower arrangement?** A: At its deepest point the dish part is about 2½" deep. **Q: is this food safe?** A: I use for candi and if I do chips lay a napkin in it. Very cute and get lots of conversation going **Q: Could this be used for a cereal bowl?** A: I do not think that would be a good idea. It would deteriorate the statue and possibly be toxic. I believe it is intended for dry goods only. Cereal without milk, fine. But cleaning it would be a chore. I use it as a candy bowl for wrapped Candies.
