My expectations were not high. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this one for the price point! I wasn’t planning on liking this as much as I do. It’s well constructed and has a classic journal feeling to it. The extra pockets inside are a big plus and the pen loop is much appreciated. I was able to add 5 Apica A5 fountain pen notebooks into it and it fits them like a glove. This was to be a temporary solution until I could afford to get another expensive one, but to be honest, this one is so nice I don’t see any need to buy a more expensive one. The leather is thick and a bit stiffer than my other cover, but I don’t really mind it and I know it will soften over time.
