It is located below the chuck, so it causes the chuck and the bit to cast a shadow on the work, but that's physics for you. All in all, there are no real complaints to be made here at all. Fits 3 amp and 4 amp batteries. **Q: Is this drill powerful enough to drill through ceramic tile? I need to attach a toilet paper holder in a new bathroom in a tight space.** A: Yes. This drill will do the job well. I have used mine to place handicap-style safety bars in similier situations. I have two suggestions. First, if possible, use something to score the tile where planning to drill. I have used a diamond-tipped cutter with some success. Second, and more important, use the best, BRAND NEW drill you can find. Use a drill made for tile, not just a drill labeled for "brick" or "mortar" or "cement". I have also found it is important to drill straight into the tile at a true 90° angle to avoid "walking" the drill bit across the tile. Good luck with the project. I am confident this DeWalt drill will be up to the task. I find I often use this drill in place of my larger drills. **Q: What is the chuck size?
