Review: Lasted about 18 months of daily use - This was a great daily backpack. Very visible which was useful as I cycle and it kept my laptop relatively safe. Gets a bit awkward when you start to fill it up to capacity and the waterproofing was good for the first year and then started to seep through a little. I had a laptop and a few books in it each day and the fabric near the straps wore down and began to tear after about 18 months. Pretty good going for the price and would have lasted longer if it was just used for hikes/holidays.
Review: No rain cover and waist strap doesn't stay tight - I bought this because I'm living in a wet climate, attending school, and taking the bus and walking everywhere. I was very excited to get something with both a rain cover and a waist strap but, unfortunately, neither of those features is what I was looking for. I checked every pocket for a rain cover and couldn't find one, so now the backpack isn't waterproof. I also found that the waist strap doesn't work right. I've used many backpacks with waist straps (I used be a backpacker) and this one isn't functional. When I try to tighten one side to take the weight off my shoulders, it automatically loosens the other side. It does still take some of the weight off my shoulders, but it's hard to make it work and it doesn't work very well. Unfortunately, there's no "Product Support" button for this item to get help from the seller, so I don't know if this is just one bad item or if all of them are this way. I might try to return it, but I'm living in a new country and haven't yet figured out how returns here work.

**Q: Is this really "waterproof" or just "water resistant"🤔?**
A: It’s water resistant if it’s raining your stuff will probably stay dry but I’d be carful if the rain is too hard and definitely wouldn’t take it in a river or anything. Pretty much just protects from lighter rain and that’s it or if you set it on a damp rock your stuff will be fine. I did accidentally get the bottom in a river once though and my stuff was fine but it wasn’t in the water long at all

**Q: What size are the pockets on the hip belt?**
A: A little larger than of a deck of cards.  My phone won’t fit.. which was the one thing I was disappointed with.  Otherwise, it’s a great backpack.

**Q: Is it a framed pack**
A: It's a very lightweight internal frame, not noticeable at all.

**Q: It looks a like a good back pack. My question, will it hold a 40L tall water bottle from costco?**
A: Yes It does I fill mine with wine not water. I put bottled water in poches and have D Rings to hold insulated water bottle on shoulder strap.

Went for a hike in the rain and lo behold, discovered that this bag is not waterproof. What a waste of ££!!
