You can also use on a grill. **Q: How thick is it?** A: It’s roughly about 5/16 of an inch thick. It’s very durable and we love it. We have the former style Lodge pizza stone as well, we love both. They both provide us with performance that we have come to expect from all of our Lodge products! **Q: Will this work for crepes?** A: No, this will not work for crepes. Technically, you can make a crepe on it, but... a crepe requires a lighter pan, preferably teflon, and ability to flick it to toss crepe and reverse. Too heavy for that, handles all wrong, and no lip. Crepe requires a rolling motion to coat the pan, and a lip to keep batter from spilling - cannot do that here.
