However, the product page on Amazon says " do not use on siilk, velvet or any fabric harmed water. " So, I wouldn't take the chance. But, it is great for carpets. **Q: Can this be used on wood?** A: I haven't used it on wood but it will probably work. It is the best pet cleaner I have found and I think I have tried them all. **Q: Could I use this to get general dog smell out of my entire couch?** A: I would definately try!
