It comes in a big flat box and has to be assembled. It’s been a year since we’ve hung it and it still looks amazing. It’s on a dimmer and really sparkles in bright light. I love it! **Q: With 6 light bulbs, is it enough bright for reading at night in the living room?** A: I originally put 40w bulbs in the light fixture and replaced it with 25w bulbs because it was to bright for my room. Definitely puts out adequate amount of light. Very pretty like light! **Q: What color is the metal?** A: The metal is like a brown with stripes gold like color but I sprayed painted black **Q: Was this item hard to put together?
