If you're going to wear layers underneath go up a size . If a single t-shirt is all worn underneath true size will be plenty comfortable .

I'm 5'11" 230 I got 3x it's a little big on me but I like the room for heavier shirts that should fit you fine. Very warm coat I like it alot I would buy one in plain color without reflective of they had them.

Great Quality

Warm and comfortable, highly visible.

Bought a 2xl as I'm 202 lbs and 6ft tall. Coat is a little big even with a sweater but not too big to return it for a smaller one. Wear this primarily while walking due to its high visibility. Have been out in minus 19 windchill and remained nice and warm. Front pocket is too small but not really an issue for me. This coat is well worth buying and is highly recommended.
