It clicks for open and doesn't leak, so I'm guessing I put it together properly.** A: You have to turn it to closed if you want to keep it and and contain liquid , if you have on open the liquid will cool more quickly and if the cup is tipped it will spill out as I often find when I’m putting it into my car cup holder if I have not got it turned to close position ! **Q: Can I drink coffee from it or I should pour it in a cup?** A: This is a coffee mug. Its meant to be a cup. So yes you can drink from it.
