For the last two years we have been using a padded walking rope from a name brand teacher supply store. We have 30 children in each class and so we have to connect 2 to 3 ropes together to take the children across campus to the outside play area. We went through 2 sets of walking ropes each school year in the past, with the ropes tearing apart from the strain of 30 kids. (vinyl walking rope). That got very expensive. We bought 3 of these ropes and tied them together. These ropes are well made and so far show no signs of wear. These were inexpensive, but well made. They are light weight and take up very little space. The spacing between each set of handles is about the same as our other rope and we get a few flat tires (clipping the shoe of the child in front of them) but not too bad. I would recommend this walking rope.UPDATE: We've been using these ropes for almost a year now and they do not show any signs of wear. I have washed them once and they came out looking brand new.
