The new package will say liver flavor. My cat will not touch the ones that are liver flavor. One cat barfs them up,one can't chew it.** A: I can't say if they changed the formula in that our cat has only been on the Lysine for about five months, and they have always been dark brown and hard (but somewhat moist). Fortunately, our cat loves them, has no problem keeping them down, and they are doing the job of preventing secretions from the eyes. **Q: How many treat are in the bag.** A: I have a small scale and I measured out 20 treats which is 10 g. The bag I purchased is 180 g or 6.35 oz in net weight, so I believe that would be approximately 360 treats in a bag. The directions say to give your cat 6 treats for flare-ups (250mg). Also that your cat can have up to 12 treats a day. I hope this helps answer your concerns. **Q: How many calories are in a 250 mg dose?** A: Good question - the back of the bag doesn't give calories. They do seem to help them I notice less sneezing or other issues. However they tend to get really hard before they can finish a bag and I go through one bag in two weeks giving them to two kittens twice a day they are both over 6 months old I give them 7-8 each twice a day instead of what the bag says of 12 twice a day. Here lately it seems like they don’t really want them because they have become too hard to eat. Value for the money is not as good as I’d like, they are expensive. I know quality products cost more. Considering that I am feeding two kittens, with taxes it is around $48 a month for two bags for just supplements that help their immune system.
