Review: Much better than regular sea salt. - I really like the flavor. It's definitely much stronger than regular salt, but you don't use nearly as much. It is highly recommended with the health professional that I am working with to lose a bunch of weight. Many of my friends have been on the program and not only have lose a large amount of weight but their health has improved greatly. Most have lowered the amount of medication they are taking or are completely off it. Himalayan Sea Salt is definitely part of the maintenance plan. Plus, the pink color is cool!

**Q: Can you add salt to this once it is empty?**
A: Sorry previous statement was incorrect. On second examination, the top could probably be pried off, but it doesn't come off easily. Again, sorry for the incorrect answer.

**Q: Is the salt iodized?**
A: The people who produce this pink salt will tell you that it doesn't have enough iodine in it to keep a person healthy.SO, it is best to get iodine from another source..To rely on this product, you will harm your body. It's best to ignore what the other person said. That is a fact.IF you want some iodine in your salts, the best way, IMO, is to get some kelp seasoning and get the pink salt and put them together. You could get some ground up kelp and add a bit into a shaker or just get some thicker ones and get a grounder salt mill thingie.That's what I am going to do.Also do note, Himalayan salt is not actually from the Himalayas like this salt states it is from. It's actually from Khewra salt mines located in Pakistan. It's the 2nd largest mine in the world. It is, however, near the Himalayas, like 100-200 miles away or so. The pink is due to the amount of iron in it. There are red salt which has a lot of iron in it from Hawaii. Thing is, with sea salt, it's pretty contaminated and this salt formed so long ago before humans touched it. So it's prolly not that bad for you. However, it doesn't have the amount of iodine needed.

WOW...this grinder is AWESOME!!! We go through pink salt like crazy in my house and I felt like I was constantly refilling our grinder. I came across this one just looking for a large bag of course salt and I'm soooooo glad I did. It's not even that much bigger than my old grinder but it holds so much more!! I refilled my old one from this container and now it's only about 1/8th empty. I'm going to leave the old one on the kitchen table and keep this one by the oven. It's grinds pretty fine and it's just perfect! So glad I came across this on Amazon!
