Just add water and mix to creamy consistency. Make sure all the dry powder is completely mixed and brush on. **Q: How many ounces is each jar?** A: I’ll let you know when I get it. Been waiting over a month and it still hasn’t shipped even though it is listed as in stock. **Q: Since you mix with water will it cause wood to swell?** A: I did not notice that it caused anything different to the wood than acrylic paint would, the colors are more muted than acrylic but it is non toxic. **Q: Does this have the binder in it already? Is it the real old fashion milk paint? Food safe? Does it need a sealer?** A: I don't know about a binder, i just mixed in water like it said to do and painted it on bare wood. I did a wash. It adhered fine and looks good. Directions say it is waterproof after it cures seven days but I put a piece outside immediately and it rained the third day. There was no bleeding or paint loss. It says its real but I don’t know much about milk paint.
