"Winter Festival" from Pickard is a classic Holiday dinnerware pattern from America's finest china maker for over a century. Produced entirely in Antioch, Illinois, this festive warm white fine china pattern adds December holiday sparkle to any table. The design features a swirling two-sided red ribbon running around the border of the Transition soft-rim plates and serving pieces. The ribbon is interspersed with green holly sprigs and 24k gold accents, and the border decoration of each piece is a solid red band edged inside and out with gold. Pickard China is a fourth generation American company, founded in 1893, who has supplied formal china to United States Embassies around the world, has provided custom china to Air Force One and Camp David, as well as twelve state mansions, and to many thousands of brides and grooms over the decades since its founding. Each piece of Pickard China passes through a minimum of twenty-one stages and three 100-Percent inspections, assuring you of absolutely best-quality American craftsmanship. Each piece is dishwasher safe in normal home use, but not for use in the microwave oven, due to the 24k gold decoration.

    Gorgeous Design.  Description a bit misleading.

Still a gorgeous design, but NO WAY 10 oz fits in this cup.  (It might if you don't mind it filled and overflowing the brim. Better not put anything hot in it and then try to lift it.)  8 oz max. I'll be returning and hoping for an *adult* sized cup to be found out there.
