It does not come even close to fitting unless I suck everything in as much as possible, and even then the ends of the buckle are a couple inches away from each other. **Q: Is this one piece or two pieces?** A: Not the best quality, strap ripped with a 45 pound plate, had to return it and bought a better one at dicks. **Q: Can it be used as back support for barbell squats as well?** A: Yes i would say absolutely its totally wide enough and u should be able to get it tight for squats no issues. Gave me a brand new one as a replacement and keep the old - new belt has been holding up so far so only right to bump the stars and update review based off of a company caring about their product and their users.Original review:Was pulling 25kgs and the webbing snapped on the left side out of the blue. Used 4 times and snapped.It's a shame as the belt fit is really comfortable and the locking mechanism appears to be nice and sturdy.
