I am not 100% certain of the ingredients being outsourced. Information online can be ambiguous. This sort of question you may want to ask directly to the manufacturer, they have FAQ section. What I did find is that my dog loves this food since his digestive system responds better to a low fat diet. The ingredients have always been consistent and his fav is Chicken and it smells nice, unlike other can foods. The cans last me for about 2 days after stored in the fridge. I feed my 2 Irish terrier dogs. Just in case your looking for a good Dry food that is not outsourced I know for a fact, "ACANA" is one of the best ones! This brand or Merrick grain free?

I find it incredibly difficult to believe that any meat-first 95% cat or dog food can still onnly have 10% proptein. Is just doesn't make any sense. Think about it. The cheapest and lousiest pet foods on the market usually calim 9 or 10% protein--and that's the really crummy stuff. How can this be 95% of [BLANK] meat and still add up to only 10% protein. It simply isn't possible. 
I think they're using the language to mis-represent what is actully in this food. And I think most people don't realize it. Possibly, what's really meant is that the meat that IS in the can is 95% of whichever meat it claims. But not that the can contaiins 95% of that meat, only that the small amount of meat it has in the can is made of 95% meat with the other 5% being water or some other ingredient (like fat, or a filler, etc.). That's just IMHO. Hope that helps. Have a good day!
