The easy answer is that you don't have to buy a lid now because we include a lid with every water dispenser as shown in the picture. We have been trying to update the listing with Amazon for several months. It's a bureacratic nightmare. Please let us know if there is anything else we can answer for you! **Q: For how long can water be stored into the cooper vessel before drinking safely?** A: In the Ayurvedic practice, water should be stored for at least eight hours before drinking. However, if you are putting potable water in the vessel, the water is safe to drink immediately or stored for extended periods. **Q: Should this rust? And if its rusting (which it is) is it no longer sage to us?** A: Copper does not rust. Copper oxidizes. If it is turning brown or green that is natural.
