All of our Wavian Jerry Can systems come with an EPA, DOT, C. A. R. B. approved spout. We have also added an adapter since some gasoline powered vehicles need a smaller spout to fit in the filler. I have the red one and I am driving with it into the Death Valley in summer where it has 120F. I had no issues. You only have to take care when you open it. Gasoline fumes blow out with high speed. Keep your head away from the closure when you open it. **Q: I want to confirm this is black in color and what are the dimensions of it ?** A: It is black. Great quality doesn't leak at all, not sure the dimensions **Q: I would like to have two black ones on the back of my truck for a rotating fuel storage, will the sunshine be a bad thing for the black color?** A: In my opinion, color only delays how quickly it absorbs heat. So no matter what color, the sun will heat them up. Just understand that these are sealed containers and do not have vents. I've had many people at my mechanics shop mount them in the bed. I would say that they would be best to keep extra fuel with you and use them for every fill-up so that the fuel doesn't go bad.
