## Description

Due to its unique botanical and nutritional properties, and there being no reported evidence of sea-buckthorn oil causing adverse reactions or negative side effects, the oil is also used as a natural agent that may benefit diseases of mucous membranes, including Aphthous ulcers, esophagitis, acid reflux, and peptic ulcers, as well as dermatological diseases and skin conditions. Russia and China, pulp oil may also be used topically to treat skin burns from radiation[6]. Due to its ability to absorb ultraviolet rays, pulp oil is purported to reduce risk of radiation burns for Russian astronauts working in space. Currently, cosmetic companies are adding sea-buckthorn oil to anti-aging preparations for skin rejuvenation and accelerated healing properties. It is also being used topically as a natural treatment for acne rosacea, acne and acne scars, and as a lotion for minimizing stretch marks Oils from sea-buckthorn seeds and pulp differ considerably in fatty acid composition. While linoleic acid and ?-linolenic acid are the major fatty acids in seed oil, sea buckthorn pulp oil contains approximately 65% combined of the monounsaturated fatty acid, palmitoleic acid, and the saturated fatty acid, palmitic acid. Few other vegetable oils contain a similar quantity of these fatty acids. Both the seed and pulp oils are rich in tocopherols, tocotrienols and plant sterols. In addition, the pulp oil contains especially high levels of carotenoids.

Sea Buckthorn Has Been A Miracle for Me

*by C***Y on Reviewed in the United States on January 25, 2017*

I am 72 years old and have very fair, dry, and sensitive skin and have tried almost everything aging and skin in general. Sea Buckthorn is my discovery of the year! It is so beneficial in so many ways, I would need to write a book to describe. First, my skin has improved in several different ways....wrinkles are melting away, skin is much smoother and softer, breakouts are gone within 1 to 3 days, skin is exfoliated, dark spots are absolutely going away, I use this oil on my face, neck, chest, arms, and legs. The sea buckthorn color is orange. It is a little scary to put this onon the skin because of fear of staining, but it does not stain the skin. Maybe, each batch is a little different color, but I add a fabulous oil to mine, to lighten the orange.I thought I had to have 100% Buckthorn, so I ordered it and found I wanted to add a carrier oil because of the orange color. A famous skin Dr. recommends a good grade of fresh olive oil for skin care, so I use that, or Rose Oil, or Vit E oil, or a wonderful blend of oils. It's the SEA BUCKTHORN that really works the wonders. It's well known for acne and breakouts and it has really worked for a breakout that I had between my eyebrows (never had acne) but strange things happen when we age. I had been wrestling with it for over a year but it wentaway in 3 days. Great for inflamed gums. I had an experience with that also. It works great. Read-up on this on line and you will find that everything from Diabetes to Teeth Whitening is mentioned. I also take this internally...there's hardly any taste at all. According to internet research, it doesmany helpful things. I won't name them, because I cannot guarantee them. I love this product and recommend it highly. I'd like to let the whole world know. There is sea buckthorn made from the berry and from the seed. I have both and both are excellent.

Recommend this product to all of my friends!

I swear by this product. I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, dewy conditions and lack of sun always was in my favor pretty much all of my life. With the exception of undisciplined (no sunscreen) sun bathing in our short summers, and occasional tanning sessions around special occasions, I pretty much had an environment that supported healthy skin. Then I moved to Southern California. Smog, constant sunshine, and lack of sunscreen (I hate using chemicals on my skin), I had a need to find a natural product that would meet my needs. After a lot of internet research I decided to give Seabuckthorn Oil a shot. I don't wear makeup often and I get consistent compliments on my healthy looking skin, including numerous dermatologist friends and my electrolysis practitioner who is also an aesthetician. Although it is not 100% Seabuckthorn Oil, it has worked extremely well for me. It does give you a slight orange tint for about a half hour but fades. I have never had any breakouts because of this product. I will continue to use this as long as I can buy it. It leaves my skin extremely soft and radiant.

    Good quality product.

This is a pharmaceutics grade oil that has been manufactured by a pharmaceutical company in Russia for ages. In Soviet era it was only available to the privileged ones. It is a medicine, but you can use it for a skin care if you wish. There is nothing I know of, other than Manuka honey, is as good for severe open skin burns as this oil; skin erosion, including female reproductive system; it is miracle oil for all stomach problems, etc. etc. about these MIRACLE oil (in English)on siberiantigersnaturals (their oil doesn't include a carrier oil as this one, therefore it costs more).Other things that one needs to know-where is it from, how berries are harvested and how oil is extracted. This is what written in Russian on the bottle: store in a dark place at 0-25C temperature; shake before usage; seabuckthorn oil not less than 60%; sunflower-seed oil; recommended 2 tea spoons x 2 times a day with food (internally). I take it on empty stomach first thing in the morning. Like all oils it will start oxidizing the moment it exposed to air. So keep a lid tightly closed.
