I am certainly not a professional artist, and watercolor has been a hard craft to master. These crayons are wonderful! But, first, yes there was crayon with a broken tip, another one broke off about an inch when I was using it. Personally I have no problem with this, as most pastels end up in pieces anyway. Even the shavings can be used. These pastels are soft. They dissolve beautifully when you brush water over them. I am quite taken with them. I am waiting on another brand as well, and this was kind of my back-up choice. It was a very good choice. Yes. I love these crayons!

I have different sets of oil pastels. I even made a whole bunch myself. This is the first time I have bought water-soluble oil pastels. I am certainly not a professional artist, and watercolor has been a hard craft to master. These crayons are wonderful! But, first, yes there was crayon with a broken tip, another one broke off about an inch when I was using it. Personally I have no problem with this, as most pastels end up in pieces anyway.
