Cuts, brambles, stingers, and most other weeds with little effort. Seems to plough through most thicknesses of hedge with little trouble. The plastic blade guard is pathetic though and will not survive a lot of use. Just as well I retained the much sturdier one from my old, defunct clippers. Tad expensive for what it is and I think an extra battery should have been included. All in all, I like this tool and would buy another if the need arose.
