As a single, I like my refrieds, but I can't eat an entire can in one sitting, and the idea of having them for breakfast, lunch and dinner the following day in order to avoid spoilage makes me shudder Amazon to the rescue! I searched Amazon Foods and lo and behold there were my beloved Santa Fe Instant Southwestern Style Refried Beans. They're freeze-dried, so loooooong shelf life, you can make a much or as little as you want; just use equal water & beans. They taste great when fixed as directed, but you can also buck them up with a dash of comino (aka powdered cumin) and a bit of *gasp* lard for a really authentic taste.
