These shorts check all of those boxes with some added benefits. The fit is really nice and feels supportive without being too tight. They're also made really well for the low price point. I was a little concerned about the material when I purchased because a lot of the high end running shorts I've purchased are made with slicker more compression style fabric. My main concern was that the more cotton-y feel of these shorts would lead to chaffing, but I ended up liking these way better than the other materials I've worn. I ran in them for 12 hours during a race in the dead of summer in Texas and didn't expereince any chaffing. They were also way easier to deal with when I had to use the restroom than the slick compression fabrics are that stick to you like a wet suit once you're sweaty.
