The black counterparts were triple the price!I thought I’d be creative and give it a go ... purchased a blue pair followed by this stuff ...I started by stripping the colour with isopropyl alcohol. Allowed them to dry for a few hours then cleaned them with the cleaning soloution provided with this kit. The shoes looked colour drained/dull.I applied a few thick brush strokes then proceeded to spread the dye around with the small sponge provided. I applied the first coat around 1300hrs on a Sunday afternoon then a further coat around 2300hrs the same night. I left them for two days to dry out. I then applied a quick skim of kiwi polish and wore them.Never had any issues since!It opens the doors for so many possibilities! Pay Β£200-Β£600 for shoes or, buy a different colour in the sale for quarter the price and dye them to your choosing...Definitely recommend!! Just remember, take your time prepping first - you will not be disappointed! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fully recommended but check the chart not individual bottles for colour *by S***H on Reviewed in the United Kingdom πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ on 16 August 2017* This is my second attempt at ordering the correct colour for reinvigorating my beloved Clark's Felicia Plum leather shoes, (which I love so much I have them in 3 colours!).I initially ordered Buckskin going on the individual colour photographs on here but that was much to yellowy beige like a foundation to match my favorite stone grey beige trench coat, which I've looked for matching shoes for for seemingly ever but to no avail.These Felicia Plum's were Cotton White when I bought them but that quickly went downhill after they got scuffed on the toes and generally lost color around high wear zones, going grey and Matt. They also looked a horrible tobacco ivory in tone (I don't smoke). So I never wore them.Then one day I had time on hands and came across this dye. I've painted shoes before with acrylics and it flakes off and so was a bit sceptical whether this would work.So coming up to date, I ordered 'Ice' instead. Going from the colour chart in English instead. That is much more accurate I'd say than the individual photos.Ice I guess means like 'iced coffee' and this is very accurate, like a very creamy milky iced latte. more pinky bluey grey in tone.I used the Preparer all over with a microfibre cloth, trying hard to get every part of the shoe, which showed up all the worn bits, which were porous and darkened slightly.I then shuck the dye and got on with painting between soles and shoe and along stitching, before sponging dye all over. I used silicone gloves to avoid dying my hands.I spent about an hour doing both shoes and let it go on the rubber soles. I later removed that with cue sticks dipped in preparer or leather cleaner and it came right off the rubber luckily.The only problem is a few patches have resisted the dye so I assume I missed those areas with preparer and they may still have waterproofing spray on. I've cue sticked those bits and will try covering them again when the rest has had a day to dry.Make sure you give this the 48 hours to cure I'd say.The effect is appeasing satin glow and didn't look painted at all. Looks like they were always this colour!I had to cover a few luminous yellow stitching details, which is annoying but i can use a Sharpie pen to paint those back in I guess.Also I got some finger marks on the tan leather inside the strap. So be careful.Here are my pics. Old colour in left at beginning. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Impressed *by G***E on Reviewed in the United Kingdom πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ on 5 December 2018* I had a pair of mid olive ankle boots that I had bought in T K Max that were lovely but, on reflection, I had spotted the sale price rather than the wearability. Knowing they would better in blue, the only option was to dye them. Read the reviews and decided to take a chance on this brand. I chose navy blue rather than midnight blue.quick delivery but was concerned about the size of the bottles. However, the prep bottle was ample, and recommend that it is used, and the bottle itself was more than ample. I used the brush as instructed and painted the stitching between sole and boot and then painted the sponge to apply the rest. The colour concerned me at first but it darkened and looked great. I applied three coats (all in succession as dried quickly) and then left final coat 36+ hours before wearing. I was concerned about the zip colour being olive still but went for the β€˜in for a penny, in for a pound’ approach and rubbed the sponge over all of the metal zip too - perfect. I wore ithen whilst traipsing around a city tour and walked miles - and in the rain - and not a problem at all. Lovely shiny polished finished. I would definitely recommend. Update: the dye has come off where the boots have been scuffed. I would perhaps recommend a slight buff to the item to be dyed before starting the process to give a better key for the dye to stick to.
