Great for bacon as I cook up a lot all at one frying. Cut in half and put around inside rim. Cook some and as you remove cooked pieces just move those on your he side into the pan bottom. I have used it for so many things and clean is a breeze if you have a dishwasher because it can be put around things in almost any configuration. Caution... my 11 and Β½ frypan works great with the smaller Frywall...the large one was too big. I had wonderful customer service from this company when I needed to exchange. I know you won't be disappointed! **Q: Measuring my lodge skillet, straight across, measures 10 1/4 inches. will this fit? also, is it not suppose to touch the bottom of the pan?** A: If the pan measures 10.25” at the top, you should get the Frywall 10. The 12 will be too large and will not work. The Frywall is designed to rest against the rim of the pan, about an inch above the bottom. That way your entire cooking surface stays open and accessible. **Q: I see that it is rated to 450 degrees, but do you know how that compares to a typical stoves temperature when cooking on high?** A: Most all shallow and deep frying takes place between 325 and 375, so rated for 450 is more than good enough for standard stove-top frying. **Q: My pan is straight walled, will it work. And a 10" pan with actual base of 9 7/8" with top of 2 1/2" wall at 10 1/8" diameter. Will 10" fry wall work?** A: It should work. I use mine on a pan that is 9" across the bottom, 11 1/4" across the top. I did trim the Frywall so it sits better in the pan, easy to trim if needed.
