The lightweight formula does not shrink, and dries to a matte finish with a slight grain that can be painted over using any of Soto’s Paint Touch Ups or House Paints, or left as-is. Instructions to repair nail holes or other similar small defects in your wall, using our Lightweight Spackle (available in 5 colors, in a 4-ounce tube or an 8-ounce tub) or our Small Hole Wall Repair Kit (also available in 5 colors, and contains everything you need to repair small holes) -- 1) Ensure you have the right color by ordering a color chart 2) Clean surface with mild detergent or our Multi-Surface Spray Cleaner to remove dirt, dust, grease, oil and loose paint. It would not fill large holes or cracks in grout or seal it but it could cover thin crevices cosmetically if that's all you need and the color matches. **Q: Am looking for a beige-like off-white, not grey or true white, so might that be Artisan White, Situ or another option?** A: Yes. My walls are an antique white and this worked just fine. One word of warning spackle or brush on lightly because layers make it too dark.
