I used an old motorcycle tire and it worked great. I bought a length of chain to wrap around a tree limb and it worked like a champ. My only real issue is that after the first swing my daughter is absolutely terrified of it. Even if someone else is swinging. She will not have it. Maybe it will make a nice hanging planter. It would be the toughest hanging planter ever though.
