I also appreciated this incarnation not needing any straining or sifting upon soaking unlike some prior tilts at Fonio have. In a better world, the likes of this would be ubiquitous on the shelves as it absolutely does the job and does it well---but given the world we still dwell in, at least now I know it can be had here at a good value going forward.

This is a great grain. It has iron, zinc, vitamin B one and B6. I’m a southern girl. I ate grits as a child, it didn’t have the iron in the other vitamins. I think this is the best grain to eat. It also keeps you full.

### ⭐ Rancid smell and taste

After many hours of research, I decided on this brand. To my disappointment when I opened the bag it smelt rancid and there was some small black specs in it. I washed it throughly and cooked it hoping that was a feature of the product pre washing. Nothing changed. It tasted rancid. This is ridiculous after paying so much money for it. SMH The sad thing is that these things aren't returnable.
