They look almost like a winter boot.** A: They are warm in cold weather. They are popular for a reason! These boots provide a good compromise between armor and flexibility, especially after wearing them around the house for a couple of days to help them break in. They're comfortable and reasonably lightweight for a tall boot. My feet don't feel like they're turning soggy in there, but I'm writing this review in January. We'll see how it goes in the mid-August heat. It's easy to stand on the pegs with these, although shifting gears feels a little clunky right now. But you would expect that with any big change in riding boots. It's also not a big deal to walk around in these boots.
