My feet hurt at the end of the day, but I'm sure they would have been worse without the footie. Comfortable under my regular socks. Of all the brands I have bought from Amazon. These are the better ones. The material is better and the cushion is noticeable. They maybe a bit pricey than another brand I purchased. 5/15. Those were terrible. Flat and didn’t live up to my expectation. These are much better. I’m going to order one more. If you have foot issues, or on your feet all day these may help. ### ⭐⭐⭐ 3.0 out of 5 stars A nice alternative to insoles, with caveats *by G***L on Reviewed in the United States on May 30, 2017* The good:-In addition to the areas of extra padding, there is a layer of thin foam under the entire foot. That extra bit of padding is nice.-The contour of the two pads (toe pad and arch support) are well contoured. You can't really see it in the photo, but the topography of the foot pad takes into account the way that a foot is shaped better than I expected.-The elastic isn't too tight (in fact, imo it's too loose) and it's in a nice wide band around the foot, so it doesn't cut into your foot the way some socks of this variety do.-They allow me to wear shoes that don't have enough room for an orthotic insert. They give me just enough arch support that I can get by without an insole, and of course some shoes just don't have room for an insole, so it's really nice to have these as an alternative.-I think they cover the correct amount of the top of my foot. They're good for, e.g., ballet flats. They cover just past the base of my toes.The bad:-The elastic around the outside of your foot is very loose. My guess is you'd need at least a size nine foot to hold it snugly. Although there is a plastic no-slip grip on the back at the heel, as in many socks of this variety, it hasn't been holding the socks in place on my foot so well, and the heel has been slipping down into the shoe when I walk. That's not the end of the world, because the foam soul still does stay in place, but it would be better if it held.-They also come up too high on the sides, showing on both the inside and outside of my foot. (I think this would be taken care of somewhat if I had larger feet.)The neutral:- I wear a size 7 shoe. The length of the foam pad on the bottom is pretty much exactly the same length as the distance from my heel to the end of my longest toe. Thus, for me, it's a pretty good fit. The foam hangs off the end of my littler toes in a way that I wish it didn't. Anyhow, I think it would fit me better if I were a size 8, or even a 9. The way the foam pad fits really matters to overall fit here, because the way it is constructed means that there's no elastic give in the base of the foot, so the size of your foot has a proportionally much bigger influence on how well the top of the sock fits you, compared with other socks that stretch evenly all the way around.-The color described as "nude" is VERY pale. They are actually reasonably close to the color of my pale skin, but that probably means for most women they will be too pale. (I feel okay about that, because most socks of this style that I buy are too dark for my skin, so turn-about is fair play. Just something to be aware of. If you have any tan at all, these'll show light on your foot.)Overall, I like them well enough, but I hardly think they're worth the $7 per pair that I paid for them.
