Do I just connect 1 unit to the router and the other 2 connect via wi-fi or do I have to ethernet to all 3 unit** A: You can do either. However if you do use ethernet for all 3 there might be a problem if you connect more than one directly to the router or via a switch. It can create a network loop. So if you do want to use ethernet for more than one unit, connect the second and third ethernet cables between units. Each unit has 3 ethernet sockets, so you can do this. I think that if you have a switch that does detect loops you don't have to worry, but my switches didn't work. **Q: Im access point mode do they still create their own mesh network?** A: Yes **Q: I have an out building approximately 30m from the back of my hse and 60m from the router. Can this be used to extend my Wi-Fi to the out building?** A: I have installed this mesh system in my home. It works very well in the house, and at the bottom of the garden. The distance from the nearest mesh boxes is about 35metres. I have testing the signal strength and it is good.
