The foam padding is 18.5 inches long, and is on the upper part of the strap, which goes over my shoulder and upper back. The lower part of the strap, where it attaches to the larger part of my bass’s body is 17 inches of adjustable nylon strap. My strap is very comfortable! The total length would vary with body size. **Q: There's a review that praises the strap for having a "quick release design", is there a way to take the strap off without removing the attached parts?** A: Not sure what you mean by "attached parts." It's just a standard guitar strap that comes with a couple of rubber washer style strap locks. **Q: Where are these made?** A: The best I can find is that Lekota makes their own products. Although I wouldn't be surprised if they use third party manufacturers. **Q: Does this strap use any animal products like real leather ?** A: I actually don't know but could care less.
