A: It is actually on the lighter tan side, think British khaki shorts.  Not a brown, definitely.  I purpose bought the lighter shade, liked it well enough and is my std bag now.  Hope it lasts a long time.  I am a real human being, 1st time buyer who is pleased with the purchase.
