After sanding I put a coat of peel stop over the top and a generic masonry paint to seal it as you can't use resin based paint on it bare. I also used this to fill in cracks in the wall... The wall is rendered with concrete so it's like a shell. Theres a crack all the way along the edge where the top meets the side. I used my fingers to rub the paste into the crack and then moulded a thick layer to build the edge again and add strength.. it's solid I can't see it breaking anytime soon.
