The other reason these look higher in the rear is because the back of cars are a little bit higher in the rear. I don’t have any racks on the car mostly because I got another set and they didn’t fit my roof rails at all either however I really don’t need them right now I was needing them for a Kayak last Summer and I ran out of time before leaving on vacation but while on vacation I seen these on a Rav4 BougeRV Car Roof Rack Cross Bars, they looked good and fit onto the roof rails good (no gaps) the only other option that I would go with is the Toyota Factory roof racks.
