For production, we visited and received quotations from factories in the U.S.A., Mexico, Taiwan, and China, and China was the only country that could product the goods at a high quality with a reasonable price. The item is quite expensive to make. We have visited our factories multiple times and have strict quality procedures in place to make sure that every order is up to our customer's standards. **Q: Where is this made/manufactured?** A: So sorry. I am not sure. While our dog loved this toy, it continued to break. For what it costs... we gave up and purchased orher, more sturdy catching games/toys. Fwiw, our dog is a GSP, trained to retrieve without tearing the "prey" up. Still the launcher failed as well as the rings. Such a shame as the concept is awesome! I want to mention before anything that I have no affiliation with Hurrik9. This toy is AWESOME! However, BUY THE ONE WITH THE DURABLE STAR RINGS. the reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because of the cheap standard rings. First one I shot at the dog park got torn in half after two dogs grabbed it the first time I shot it. BUT... I emailed the company direct and explained what had happened, and also mentioned that their advertisement specifically says that the rings are durable, which is one of the reasons I bought it, and they actually sent me 3 of the durable rings free of charge. That was awesome. The durable rings, although didn’t fly quite as far as the others due to a little more weight cuz of the spandex material but still flew great, they survived straight up TUG OF WAR between my two Aussies. I would still avoid too much tugging if possible because after a few months of playing EVERY DAY they slowly stretched a little too much and would no longer shoot. Did I get my money’s worth? Absolutely. So much so that I am going to buy a 6 pack of the durable rings because I even miss playing with it. And, I also learned that you can purchase and individual parts off the Hurrik9 website if any of them break so you don’t have to buy a whole other unit like some of the other reviewers on here did, and are mad cuz they feel they threw their money away. I would have felt the same way, but it’s not necessary for anyone to feel that way cuz you can buy the rubber bands by themselves for like $5. The toy is great. Try it out for yourselves. Flies a disk ring which is easily caught and easy on the dogs mouth. The second purchase was due to our dogs love of the toy, but with the same results in about a months time. I can not keep buying this product while seeing the same defects in design or materials.
