Is an adapter needed? This is for an embedded application with a 345 mhz signal.** A: I believe this is the external mount coax adapter that I used on a no elect nano. I'm good up to 2.8 GHz. I live in a really quiet Valley in the CA Desert (4000 ft mountains to the N, S, and E), so the major spikes are easy to find. **Q: Can this be used to connect an external tv antenna to a rca dht235c digital tv? is the mcx plug long enough to fit into the jack on the tv?** A: Yes it can - you connect one side of cable to the tv and the other to the antenna. **Q: Will this work on a blue ray player to hook to tv because there is only one hdmi connector which is used already and this looks like it will work for** A: No. TVs and Blu Ray players do not use MCX and SMA connectors. Not too stiff and not too flexible. The SMA antennas I've used screw nicely into the top. I am using this with a RTL2832U. The MCX connector is a bit tight when plugging it into the USB stick, but it is a solid connection and while it lets it turn freely, it won't fall out any time soon. Lets me hook into antennas far better than the stock antenna.
