Hands down these beans were SO much better. They are somewhat larger, plumper, not at all mushy and the liquid they are canned with was quite clear & easily rinsed away compared with five or six other brands I had used in the past. The appearance of the beans is important as I use them to make a warm weather black bean-corn condiment/salad with green onions, chopped red & yellow peppers, mild salsa and a generous splash of oil & vinegar Italian salad dressing.
