I originally got the XL because I’m short and didn’t want the skirt to be too long. Once I got it, I tried to zip it up but it wouldn’t go all the way. I then purchased the XXL for the waist and it fit well. For curvier girls, depending on your comfort, I needed to wear extra shorts underneath to cover my bottom. Otherwise, exactly what I was looking for.Disclaimer: our costume was Sooyung and Agent Carter from Rush Hour

At 5'1" at 125lbs, a large fits me perfectly.I initially ordered a small size since I have another Made By Johnny skirt in a medium that's nearly too big for me and Amazon recommended a small based on other clothes I've purchased. But it was waayyy too small for me- I couldn't pull it up past mid-thigh much less close the zipper. I returned it and instead ordered a large based on the size chart. It's great for my piecemeal Hufflepuff costume, though the zipper is a bit sticky.
