IBAMA Ceramic Electric Kettle Cordless Water Teapot for Tea and Coffee, Oven Mitt Included1.2L (Green Pattern)

September 2018: Still working and no issues! Would definitely buy again, since 1 year is a record for the tea kettles we had in the past few years, and that’s including expensive ones.July 2017: We had several (3-4?) fancy and expensive electric kettles in the past 3 years. Two of them would allow for temperature control, and reheating. ALL broke, none lasted longer then 1 year. Of course, fancy ones were my husband's buys ;) This time I ordered this lovely kettle before he went to BedBath and Beyond to spend another $70 on a kettle that gives you a headache with the number of temperature choices, and keeps reheating your water, when all you wanted to do is to steep 1 stupid cuppa tea. How many times had I to get up from my comfy recliner just to turn off the reheat button! This ceramic kettle looks very pretty on the counter, gives it cute country look. It has on and off switch, obviously, and thats all. No other fancy buttons. Cord is not super short, as in the most new appliances I was buying recently. It is just the right length to reach power outlet. China/ceramic is nice white clean and smooth. Green leafy vines are, probably, stamped on, meaning, it is not a hand painted kettle. They do look very cute though. Lid has a single hole in it to let the steam out. This hole guides me on how to open the lid, since it has these 2 little handles to keep it in place, when poring the water out. There was no mechanical nor plastic smell/taste to the water with the first use. We had it for 1 month, and use it several times each day. So far, no issues. Depending on how long it is going to last, I would buy it again. Considering getting a second one of a different design, to use it during winter or holidays, to match house decor.

This is a beautiful electric kettle. It does what it says and for the price, it is good. Two things to note and why I took two starts. 1) it is slow compareded to my 1.2L, cheap electric kettle that is 7 yrs old. Slow as in nearly twice the time to boil the water. 2) the base is very light and the kettle is heavy. I expected it to be heavy because it it's ceramic, but compared to my old kettle, the base is very light. I think all the heating components are in the bottom of the kettle making it so heavy. My old kettle base is heavy and the bottom of the kettle is not as thick as the IBAMA kettle. Anyway, my wife loves the look and it's great enough for our usage, but keep in mind, it is slow and heavy compared to other kettles

I bought this tea kettle about two years ago, it is no longer the same shape. It still works perfectly (I boil water twice per day every day), very quiet, looks cute, keeps the water hot for a long time. Just enough for a few cups of tea or a large thermos. I fortunately someone besides me was using it and didn't turn the lid to secure, it fell while pouring, and the top broke off. I was going to ask the manufacturer for a replacement lid since the glue doesn't hold up in humid and hot conditions and have come to find that they have changed the design of the kettle.

I enjoyed my new kettle for a couple of months and it was lovely and looked nice on my counter. However it gets two stars because this morning I went to make my tea only to find the kettle won't turn on. It broke after a matter of months and I find that very frustrating as I've had cheaper electric kettles that have lasted much longer.Update:As noted above this kettle broke after only a couple of months, however I have to say I had the BEST interaction in my buying history with this company. They wrote me and offered to send a new kettle free of charge and based only on this negative review, I never contacted them. Despite the fact that their initial emails went to my junk mail they persisted in getting a hold of me. I've had the new kettle for a couple of weeks and so far no issues. But I'll update my product review based solely on the delightful interaction I had with the company. Very impressive.

I purchased this tea pot for my daughter's Christmas gift. This may sound terrible but I wanted to try it to make sure it functions correctly before I give it to her. Keep in mind I grew up drinking tea numerous times a day and like to think of myself as a tea guru. Lol. This Ceramic tea pot is above and beyond all my expectations!!! It heats the water to the perfect temperature to release the tea flavors and is very quiet. There is no strange Odor or taste in the water and it makes a wonderful cup of tea. The pot is ceramic so it will be hot to the touch but the handle did not get overly hot. As far as the lid make sure once you place on top you turn it to lock it in place so it doesn't fall off when pouring. I will be retiring my 20 year old Mrs. Tea tea pot after the holidays and will be purchasing myself one of these beautiful and very functional tea pots. I am in love!! My daughter will love this gift.

I originally purchased this for my daughter as we are preparing for her to go away to college but I wanted to try it out first and have kept it for myself! I will be purchasing another one for her. Water heats up very quickly and it looks so stylish on my coffee/tea sideboard. No more making a pot of tea in the kitchen and carrying it to the sideboard. It comes with a hot pad for the handle but the ceramic handle does not get so hot that you need to use it.

Absolutely very good quality! Have used it for over two years now. This review is belated but the delay also demonstrated that this kettle has survived the test of time. It is still functioning and as good as new!

I'm very dissapointed in this kettle, the lid is too loose and if you pour, the lid just falls off just by tilting the kettle. Product is trash, to even send it back I needed to pay 9$. Don't waste your money and buy it.
