**Q: Can you reuse the plastic pellets?**
A: Yes you can just as long as you label and use for the same step. So just have them in ziplocks with labels stating what step they were used for. You don't want them to contaminate a finer grit step because they may still have traces of grit on them.

**Q: What exactly are the plastic pellets used for ?**
A: They are used as filler when you don’t have enough rocks to fill the tumbler to the required amount.

**Q: I am on day 3 of tumble and i checked my rocks and all the grit 1 is gone! Is this supposed to happen? It recommends 6 days to tumble**
A: If you have one of the national geographic tumblers that go real fast then yes it could be all used up.  I have one of those (with the yellow plastic drum) and I usually burn through grit 1 in about 3-4 days.  Which is nice, but the problem with those fast moving tumblers is that they also are rougher on rocks so you're more likely to get breakage.

**Q: What are the exact grits?**
A: Exact is quite a request. However, a good approximation would be, stage 1: 60, stage 2: 120, stage 3: 500, stage 4: 1200. The pellets are round white plastic and will float. This is a great starting set. One of the reasons being is that it is a great way to keep the grits easy to use. After you have this set you can buy grits for each stage and they will come in plastic bags. Simply transfer them into the proper canister. An empty canister seems to hold about 3/4 lb of grit, although I seldom put in more than 1/2 lb. Many of the bags are 1/2lb.  When my grandson started I got him this set.
