Corinna want her art work to be shown in the Summer Art Exhibit. Sean is force to pretend to be his brother-in-law, so he will divorce his sister. Sean meet Corinna think he is John but tell he not. Sean pretend to be Lord Lincolnshir's nephew because he dying. Rachel learns that she is not a Chase, can that change her life? Will Sean win the divorce for his sister? Now, if only his womanizing, reclusive oil painter brother in-law, John Hamilton, who married his younger sister and left her after losing their child would grant her a divorce, he would be happy. His sister wants to be happy and marry the man she loves. But John will grant the divorce only if Sean agrees to take his place and pretend as the nephew to his estranged uncle, the Earl of Lincolnshire (He is dying and wants to spend his last days with him to get to know him). If he declines, John only inherits the home with some entailed property and the bulk of the estate will go to charity. Blackmailed, Sean has no choice but to agree for his sister's sake. He wants her to be wedded properly after the divorce. Corinna Chase dreams of getting her portrait painting in the Summer Exhibition in London to help her gain entrance to the Royal Academy of Art. She is not interested in marriage that her brother Griffin, the Marquess, is pushing to do after successfully getting her two sisters married. In a happenstance, she meets Sean and John at the Art Museum and thinks Sean as her "Greek God". The ruse snags a problem as Sean knows nothing about art and painting. Corinna story was good but not as good as bks 1 &2 her sisters stories. I think I had problems with the story line switching back and forth from Corinna's romance with Sean Delaney and her brother Lord Griffins romance with Rachel. Griffin and Rachel are featured in bks 1 & 2 so you have a pretty good idea of whats going to happen between them. Their wasn't a lot hot romance either. But over all I loved how Rachael's storyline was resolved. I didn't figure it out and I didn't see the plot coming until it was upon. I loved how her real parentage was resolved. It couldn't have been better. Back to Sean he is being black mailed by is brother in law an artist John Hamilton. If Sean doesn't go along with pretending to be him and taking care of his elderly uncle who his dying the Earl Of Lincolnshire; John won't give Deirdre his wife and Sean's sister a much need divorce. John was a true low life and he did get his comeuppance but it should have been harsher. It was nothing the Lord Lincolnshire could do to stop John from inheriting the title. It was the law but he should not have offer half of his untitled estates and money for him to divorce Deirdre This was just a slap on the hand. John was disgraced but it concluded to quickly. I wanted to see him disgraced. I was hoping for away that John wouldn't get the title. I was hoping the unknown uncle who Sean inherit 10,000 pounds from years before.,was really the Earl an he would inherit the title. Leaving John with nothing. I am sorry to see an end to the "Regency Chase Family series".
