However, I wouldn’t use them for walks or hikes as they are just like a slightly thicker latex balloon. I’d just go for the more traditional dog shoes for that. But they are great for the beach or pool to protect the pup’s paws from hot sand or pavement (they’ll still feel heat but it shouldn’t burn them) As for durable and clean-able, like I said above they are essentially balloons, not really durable and not worth cleaning and reusing. It took both my wife and I all 4 hands to stretch these open enough to get one of our dane's paws into these. It probably took 10 minutes to get all 4 on her. We threw the rest of the pack away after doing this twice. Our dogs go out 7 times a day and I don't have two people and 10 minutes of install time per trip on muddy days. It is a good idea, they just take way too long and are too difficult to put on very large dogs.
