Not that is major, but would help IMHO. these fit my body size and most of all, allow me to sit on the regular seat, without all this other junk in between. They are adjustable in width and height, and while they wobble a bit if you lift the arms up off the floor, as soon as you add weight to them they are perfectly stable. No matching your oval seat with the cheap toy products round seats. No trying to use something that is maybe 2/3 the size of what you are used to, and not make a huge mess everywhere. plus your walker will back right up to them to allow you to sit and stand easily. If you are a guy, you can lift your toilet lids and walk right up to the toilet as usual with your walker. I would give them a 10 star rating if I could, they really solved some issues for us in a very inexpensive manner and use the KISS principal in their engineering design. Or wobbly when getting up?** A: they wobble a little bit, but that didn't bother me. One of the nice features, I thought, was you can swing them out of the way when someone who doesn't need them has to sit down. But they do snap into place and I found them sturdy as far as supporting my weight. They can wobble maybe an inch in each direction. If you have bad balance and think the wobbling will be a problem I would suggest getting a commode that fits over the toilet and has 4 feet instead of only 2. I used that last time when I had my hip done but I preferred these safety rails after my 2nd hip because they are less obtrusive. **Q: Can I install 1 rail on one side only? The toilet paper roll would be in the way of a second rail.** A: Yes the unit comes in five (5) pieces One attaches under the two(2) toilet seat bolts. Each arm attaches separately to this piece. The other two (2) go in the arms at the bottom to allow you too adjust the arms to the height of the stool. I do not see any reason you could not attach only one (1)arm. You must remember the arms are made to push down on to get up they will not take a lot of side push.
