It will work great for your leather vest because when you wear it when you ride, it is exposed to the air, the road grime, the pollution, the sun etc. **Q: Has anyone used this on leather auto seats? I used it on my boots and loved it, but I do not want to change the color of my MIata seats.** A: I used it in my Yukon with good results just use a little as automotive seat leather has a clear protective coating. Also, never use a cleaner/conditioner product. There is no such thing as the cleaner will still be there and will dry out your leather. It has to be one apart from the other . **Q: how's this stuff for fine dress shoes?** A: Black or very dark brown dress shoes that you choose to wear in the rain. Otherwise find a good leather conditioner that is known to not darken leather. There are more than one on the market that are not supposed to. I have some very light leather and Bick 4 has not darkened them. Let's also has a product that is not supposed to darken too. Always test an in conspicuous area, especially if you own a fine dress shoe.
