It says on the labels not to exceed 12 caplets a day, so that would max you out at 6grams of methyl cellulose (their fiber source). The powder has 2grams per heaping tablespoon, and they recommend not exceeding 3 of these a day (also 6grams). That being said, this is insoluble fiber only, so you can't compare it with soluble. All fiber is not alike! I take just two tablespoons of the powdered version in the morning (4grams) and that is plenty for me.
